Nowadays, the entertainment industry is one of the most lucrative businesses in the world. The global market is worth an estimated $2 trillion, and this is expected to imminently grow by 6% per year through 2022. In Japan, the entertainment industry is even more lucrative. In 2017, the Japanese entertainment industry was worth ¥2.7 trillion, which was equivalent to $26.4 billion. In terms of revenue, the Japanese industry is second only to the United States.

One of the major players in the Japanese entertainment industry is Sony. Sony is a major multinational corporation that has been in the entertainment business for more than 100 years. In Japan, Sony is a very important company. It is the second-largest media company in Japan after Mitsubishi.

One of the reasons why Sony is so important in the Japanese entertainment industry is because it has a very strong presence in the digital sector. Sony is the largest electronics company in the world, and it is also one of the largest digital media companies in the world. Sony is the owner of the PlayStation brand, which is one of the world’s leading video game platforms. Sony also owns the Sony Entertainment Network, which is one of the world’s leading online entertainment conglomerates.
