Religion & Spirituality
Japanese are, by and large, not religious but harbor a strong superstition gene. Visiting the shrine or putting salt in front of a shop is to bring “good luck” or “keep demons away”. Japan also attracts new, weird and sometimes dangerous cults and sects. If you stand for nothing, you can fall for anything.
