Japan Success Strategies for Life and Business

Paper & Wood Products

Japan houses are aging and the Baby Boomers who bought them in high-growth years are rebuilding existing homes.  Demand for wood products has subsequently rose, as well. Many wood processing mills in eastern, coastal Japan were extensively damaged caused by the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. Approximately a capacity of 60,000 cu.m of plywood per month was lost in the disaster.
