Hobbies & Interests
Until the 1980s, Japanese had predictable hobbies: tennis, golf, tea ceremony, flower arranging, and…driving. The diversity with today is a stark contrast. From perverse to predictable, the Japanese are into a lot of stuff – konkatsu (marriage hunting), break dancing, sleeping(!), skiing (once a year), pet cafes, practice humping. Modern-day Japan isa bit similar to anything-goes San Francisco of 1969, minus the drugs.
