Chambers of Commerce, State Offices & Regional Promotion Boards

The first Japan Chamber of Commerce in Japan was established in 1878.  There are about 520 branches of the JCC throughout the archipelago.  These are not often contacted by foreign concerns hoping to break into the Japanese market because of lack of bilingual services in the regions outside of the major metropolitan areas.  The truth is that JETRO can put an aspiring foreign firm or startup into contact with companies/concerns unable to communicate directly.
